Science fair

Write a recount of your Science Fair project last year under the headings. Be brief and summarise. One or two sentences on each:
Aim. To make different types of composts (one with sea lettuce.) To see which one grew the best.
Hypothesis. I thought that the compost with sea lettuce would grow the best.
Introduction.  Because the smell of the sea lettuce upsets so many people in the Bay of Plenty, the  Regional Council spends a lot of money every summer cleaning it away.
Equipment & Method:
Fresh sea lettuce
Buckets
Garden space
Hose
Water
Wheel barrow(optional)
Soil test kit
2 black tarpaulins
Metal pegs
Spade
Watering can
Compost ingredients (lawn clippings, newspaper, vegetable scraps)
Ruler or measuring tape
Pen and paper to record the height of the plants

Results. My Hypothesis was not correct the normal compost grew the best.
Conclusion.Sea lettuce does seem to speed up the composting process by and had broken down faster on the third week of testing but it has nothing to do with speeding up the germination.

Now answer these questions
What did you do well last year? Last year I got best year seven science and got highly commended in regionals.
What did you find difficult last year? I found it difficult graphing my results.

My Hat-Tony Mitton

Here is four tips about reading poems:

1.Read slowly this will make the poem easier to understand.

2. Read in a normal or relax tone of voice.

3.  Only pause when it says to.  Most poems have short lines this does not mean you need to stop.

4. Read the poem before you say it aloud. You can learn lots of things by reading the poem.

I got tip four  from this link.
The rest I got from this link.

A tattoo of McDonald's

We read an article on this link we now have to answer these questions.

1. Who is the main person or group of people in this news article? The main person of this article is an 18 year old called Stian Ytterdahl.  His friends were also the main people in the story as they were the ones who chose the bet.
2. What was the key event from the news article? A group of friends bet a boy to get a tattoo of his McDonalds receipt.
3. Where did this event take place? This event took place in Norway.
4. When did this event take place? It took place on April first (This when the article got uploaded.)

2. In your own words describe what happened in this news article. A group of friends bet an 18 year old boy to either get a tattoo of his receipt of McDonalds or a tattoo of barbie.
3. Find out where this event took place and include some information about this place. This took place in a Norwegian McDonalds. Which is in Europe in the Northern hemisphere.
4. Tell us when this event happened and explain what might happen in the future. In the future he might not get a girlfriend.
5. Explain in your own words why this event took place. His friends were jealous of him as he got all the ladies.
6. Use the Dictionary in the bottom right hand corner to find the meaning of 3 words from the article.

Interveiws

Yesterday we had our Student-led Learning Conferences. My mum came to see my learning and was impressed. I'm really proud here is a picture.

There Their and There

When should you use they're? They're is a contraction of they are so you can only use they're is when you to say they are. e.g They're really funny I loved that last joke.
When should you use their? Their is used to show possession it is just like using my your or his. If you want to find out when to use their replace it with our. You will be correct because our is used to show possession.
When should you use there? The word there represents a place. e.g There are two apples.
