Dangerous decibals

Here are some points I learnt about hearing /dangerous decibals

  • You measure your how loud something is with decibals
  • Your eardrum is as weak as tissue paper
  • Don't clean ear wax with cottonn buds or anything that pushes ear wax into your ears
  • Clean ear wax with a wet cloth, gently clean around ears
  • Once you've lost a bit of your hearing you can't get it back
  • In every career you have to use your hearing
  • If you go to a rock concert you may loose you hearing within ten seconds
  • Carey wright fits hearing ads
  • If you get sore ears from diving to deep come back up immediatly
  • They use a number of tools to fit hearing ads
  • You can sit in traffic for about 6 hours and you wont lose a bit of your hearing
  • You can go to a ear nurse to remove ear wax
  • There are many types of hearing ads
  • You can be born with hearing loss
  • You can see decibals when you hit a tuning fork on the ground once and then put it near your ear.
  • You can get tunning forks from any music shop
  • If you are thirty and you don't care about your hearing you might have hearing like an eighty year old
  • A normaal conversation is about seventy decibals
  • You might cause damange to your hears if you are in a area with 85 or more decibals
  • You need to talk to someone has hearing lose at the front.

Another five similes

Today we have doing another 5 similes.
NO CLICHES!

As tired as a bussness man after a hard day at work.
As quick witted as a comedian to an audience.
As frightened as a child in a haunted house on halleween.
Gently like a caring mother to her sleeping new born baby.
Grey like the sky on a cold, miserble winter day.

5 Orignal Similes

In class we are learning about Similes, for our blog post we have to create five orginal similes.

NO CLICHES!
As sharp as sea shells cutting on your bare feet at the beach.
As shiny as a crow's eyes when its spotted your diamond necklace.
As relaxed as a baby sleeping in its cradle.
Intricate like a beauitiful Picaso painting.
Burning like a man tanning at the beach without any sunblock.
As hard as a strong mans muscels.

My best one is in yellow.

Another maths week question

Tuesday: Bath Tub Maths ! These problems are tricky!

The hot water tap when it is full-on can fill a bath in 7 minutes.
What fraction of the bath can it fill in 1 minute?
1/7

When the cold water tap is full-on it can the
fill the bath completely in 5 minutes.
Colin has just had a long hard run and
wants to have a cold-water bath.
How long will the cold water tap take to fill
3/5 of the bath for Colin?
3 minutes

The cold water tap when it
is full-on can fill a bath in 5
minutes.
The hot water tap when it is
full-on can fill a bath in 7
minutes.
How long will it take both taps
to fill the bath when they are
both set to full-on.
Give you answer in minutes
and seconds.
2 minutes

When the bath is full its volume is 1 cubic
metres. Archi is a person with a volume of
0.08 cubic metres.
He carefully jumps into the bath.
How much water will spill over the side of
the bath!
Give your answer in cubic metres.
0.02 cubic meters

When the plug is open the bath will empty
completely in 4 minutes.
Now when Toni comes to have a bath the
cold water tap and the hot water tap are both
set to run full-on but unfortunately someone
has left the plug open and the water flows out
at the same time.
How long will it take to fill the bath now?
Give you answer in minutes and seconds
12 minutes

Abbott: Just a minute, are you accusing me of cheating?
Costello: No, but you got two tens for a five.
Abbott: Alright here's your five now gimme back my two tens.
Costello: Okay, that's better.
Bud gives Lou five dollars and Lou gives Bud ten dollars.
After a slight pause Lou realises he has been conned again.
